Don Frazier opened Bicycle One in 1974 using eight bicycles he’d bought on closeout from a local motorcycle shop. What started out as a hobby soon became a thriving full service shop, offering sales, repairs, and friendly smiles for neighbors and newcomers alike.
Troy, Don’s son, who is now Bicycle One’s owner, first started working at the shop when he was 10 years old. After marrying his lovely wife Jane, Troy left his job in the aviation industry and joined forces with his dad to manage Bicycle One full time. Together with Don, Troy expanded the shop with a new building, extra floor space and the capacity for more bicycles. The only trick was keeping Troy’s kids from riding the bicycles up and down the newly carpeted sales floor! (We’ll admit…it still happens from time to time.)
We’ve grown a lot since 1974. We’ve added more friendly faces and family members to our tight knit team; and now third generation Fraziers are employed in the thriving family business. Our inventory of more than 400 bicycles helps insure we can find a bike to meet almost any need and budget. And we’re still a full service shop; bring us a bike and we’ll do our best to tune it up and get it back on the road. Our expert mechanics have over 50 years of combined experience. What can we say? We love what we do; simple as that.
We do our best to have something for everyone, whether you’re just getting on your first bike or you’re busy lapping your friends on group rides. Here you’ll find a virtual menagerie of bicycles, from hybrids and mountain bikes to recumbents and unicycles- and even a large selection of BMX bikes.
Our vision is to be a bike shop that everyone can call their own, casual and serious riders alike. Bikes bring people together, and we’re all for that. We do our best to give everyone who comes in our doors an experience that resonates. We strive to break down barriers, meet the needs of our central Ohio neighbors and get as many people out enjoying the ride as we can. We are experienced and friendly. Founded on integrity, community, and family. Bicycle One is family owned and operated; and always will be.
Because bikes mean family. And we’re all family here.
